Walk along the route to the Tada silver and
copper mine seeking romantic aspects of history.

Seishi Museum, Inagawa

This is a cultural facility where Inagawa Town created a replica of the Japanese-style residence of a wealthy farming family (thatched-roofed main building made only of Japanese cypress and four warehouses) built by the late art dealer Kumasaku Tomita. Inside the facility, furniture and tools that represent that time have been left as they were.

Tada silver and copper mine

Yukyu no Yakata

This is a facility that introduces the history of the Tada silver and copper mine, which attracted national attention as a mine under the direct control of the government during the reign of Hideyoshi Toyotomi, and was fairly prosperous during the Edo period, described as “ginzan sanzenken”(3,000 ken silver mine). Also displayed at the mine are related materials, such as illustrations, ancient documents, ores, and mining tools.

Yukyu Square (Site of Horike Smeltery)
This is the site of a machine mill & smelter from the Meiji period. Along with existing brick structures, some of the brick-laying artifacts, which were unearthed in the excavation and restored, are displayed.

Tada silver and copper mine Aokimabu
Aokimabu is the only mabu (mineshaft) of the Tada silver and copper mine open for observation. Visitors can see both a strip mine, which is considered to have been used for mining during the Edo period, and a mineshaft used for mining with the use of machines, such as a rock drill.

Road Station Inagawa ~Refreshed by the Blessings of Nature~

At this road station, there are the “Agricultural Marketing Center,” which sells fresh vegetables grown by local farmers; “Regional Agricultural Information Center,” which includes the Regional Information & Rest Area and sells specialties; and “Restaurant Soba no Yakata,” where Juwari-soba, noodles made from 100% local buckwheat flour, can be enjoyed. The road station is located on the way to Oya Alps Land, a facility where visitors can refresh themselves and fully enjoy magnificent nature.

Access Take a Hankyu bus on Sugio Route from Nose Railway “Nissei-chuo” Sta. and get off at Kawadoko-guchi. The Road Station is near the bus stop.

Introduction to soba-making experience

Buckwheat noodles are a food inseparable from the diet of Japanese people. At Road Station Inagawa, visitors can experience kikouchisoba (also known as juwari soba), buckwheat noodles made from 100% buckwheat flour. Please enjoy freshly made buckwheat noodles.

Oya Alps Land

Located at the summit of Mt. Oya (753m), which boasts the highest elevation in the Hanshin district, this facility is available for camping and birdwatching. On the 2nd floor of the Inagawa Astronomical Observatory (Astropia), with a 50 cm reflecting telescope installed, visitors can enjoy astronomical observation. Also, on the 1st floor, visitors can learn about stars at the Digital Planetarium, listen to an explanation on that night’s starry skies, and enjoy 3D outer space simulations from the past 1 million years to 1 million years in the future.

Inagawa Furusato-kan

This is a museum of history and folklore where more than 200 articles are displayed, such as living tools actually being used in the town, cultural properties of the town, and specialties. With the Inagawa River running behind this museum, it is equipped with an outdoor stage, and a lawn area with an artificial canal, where visitors can play in the water.

Access Take a Hankyu bus on Sugio Route from Nose Railway Nissei-chuo Sta. Get off at Kizugami. It’s a 5-minute walk from the bus stop.
