  Takedao Hot Springs can be reached in only nine minutes from the JR Takarazuka Line. In this area, the appearance of the Mukogawa River shows a drastic change. With its flow becoming a rapid stream, a gorge-like atmosphere is created. Enveloped in towering mountains and the gorge, Takedao Hot Spring Resort has the ambience of secluded hot springs. The origin of Takedao Hot Springs is also old, dating back to the Kanei era (1624 - 1644) in the Edo period. It is said that Naozo Takedao, a woodman who was an ochimusha (samurai of a defeated army) of the Toyotomi side, discovered the hot springs.
