Located in the Takahira area at the upper reaches of the Hatsukagawa River, Sanda/Mochidokoro Tsukushi no Sato processes and sells mochi (rice-cakes) made with local mochi rice. Blessed with abundant nature and delicious water, this region as been known for centuries as a prominent rice producing area and makes the specialty “Yamafukumochi Rice”. The mochi uses this mochi rice 100% and is additive-free, making it good for your body with a smooth, sweet and nostalgic flavor. You can also enjoy a mochi making experience if you make a reservation.
