- Known locally as Itami Airport, this airport is a major hub for domestic flights. It is located where Itami, in Hyogo, meets the cities of Ikeda and Toyonaka in Osaka.
Inside are over 20 restaurants, a wide variety of souvenir stores, a sake shop with in-store tastings, a character shop, a Japanese-style sweets/snack shop, and more.
The roof of the terminal building has a 400-meter-long observation deck called La Sora. The wooden deck spans an impressive 5,000 square meters, and it's worth a visit just for the numerous trees and flowers.
An event space at the south end of the deck, and the Lobby Stage on the first floor of the North Terminal, host various seasonal music events and other attractions.
When night falls, the lights from the airplanes light up the sky against a backdrop of city lights from Itami, Toyonaka, and Osaka in the distance. The deck also has its own magical lighting, creating the perfect romantic scene.
