Takarazuka Bunka Sozokan (Takarazuka Culture Production Hall; former Takarazuka Music School)
This modernist building, constructed in 1935, was used by the Takarazuka Music School from 1937 to 1998 and produced many alumni. Based on "clear, just, and beautiful," the philosophy of founder Ichizo Kobayashi, remnants of the school's long legacy are found in every corner inside the building (including the stairs); it is highly prized from both architectural history and cultural property viewpoints.
The second-floor Sumire Museum features displays of pictures and classroom materials used throughout the school's two-year curriculum, offering visitors a rare glimpse of actual lesson environments and extracurricular activities via a monitor.
Lastly, an exhibit of around 800 posters dating back to the Takarazuka Theater's first performance, and a video about the theater projected on a 120-inch screen, provide even more ways to enjoy learning about the school and theater.
