/ Tada Silver and Copper Mine Yukyu no Yakata
Tada Silver and Copper Mine Yukyu no Yakata
A facility that presents the history of the Ginzan area (formerly Ginzan Town) that thrived as the center of the Tada Silver and Copper Mines that spread across the mountain range of Hokusetsu and had its golden period in the 1600s. Materials such as diagrams, old writings as well as ore and mine tools are displayed, along with objects excavated from the magistrate’s office on the opposite side. There is also an interaction space where you can discover the past appearance of the mine on the installed computers. We invite you to the distant past that was so vibrant it was known as the “mine with 3000 houses”.
