/ Sanda Craft House
Sanda Craft House
This is the largest scale facility in western Japan that recycles glass waste from clean centers (garbage disposal facilities) so that all kinds of glass crafts can be enjoyed, and also it holds classes for each type of glass craft. Held every Sunday, anyone of elementary school grade 5 age or over can participate in the Glassblowing Experience (reservation required), where you can make original cups or single-flower vases using a blowing technique where melted glass is wrapped around a blowing iron and then given shape through blowing air. Glass beads and swizzle sticks can made using the Burner Work technique where a glass rod is melted into a starch syrup with the flames of a gas burner, while there are also hands-on courses for making baby handprints and glass memorabilia. There are also Skill Acquisition Courses for those who want to learn glass techniques more seriously.
In addition there is a multi-purpose hall that can be used for studying.
