/ Mount Hatsuka
Mount Hatsuka
The pointed shape of Mount Hatsuka, with an elevation of 524 m, stands out among the mountains of Hokusetsu. With Kashita-ji temple, once the prayer spot for the demon’s gate protection of the former Sanda castle at the foot of the mountain, and temples and shrines at the top, there is an atmosphere of worship throughout the mountain. There is almost no snow fall, so mountain climbing can be enjoyed throughout the year. The climbing paths are easy to walk through so it is recommended for beginners and families. There are boulders on the way down from the summit to the ridge, so attention is required.
