/ Mount Kokuzo
Mount Kokuzo
Hiking near the city can be enjoyed at this mountain, which has an elevation of 592 meters and can be climbed from JR Aimoto Station. The mountains during the seasons of red autumn leaves and fresh greenery are particularly beautiful, with the mountains of Hokusetsu, Mount Arima Fuji and the Rokko ranges visible from the top of exposed rocks near the summit. It is also designated as a Kinki Nature Walk Path, and if you descend on the Imada side you can reach one of the Six Ancient Kilns of Japan and the birthplace of Tamba ware porcelain. It is named Mount Kokuzo because Kokuzo-do Temple of the Thirteen Mairi ritual is on the mountainside.
