Kohamajuku
North of the Kohama intersection on National Route 176 and near Gosho-ji Temple, this inn town flourished in the Edo period as part of the Arima Kaido route, which connected the Arima hot springs town to Osaka and Kyoto. Aside from the Arima Kaido, it featured as a stop on the Nishinomiya Kaido (used to transport sake and rice from Nishinomiya to Isoshi in Takarazuka), the Kyo-fushimi Kaido (from the Fushimi area of Kyoto to Segawahanjo and Kamo, becoming an important place in late Edo traffic. Even today, traditional houses remain and help retain the atmosphere of the town's past.
