Takarazuka Dahlia Garden
The climate in the Kamisasori neighborhood in northern Takarazuka is 3-4 degrees Celsius lower than that in the downtown area - perfect for growing dahlias. Dahlia cultivation began in 1930 to vitalize the town, and at its peak the garden was responsible for 80% of the area's flowers. During the dahlia season in autumn, visitors can enjoy flower-picking from among 100,000 blooms on around 20,000 trees representing 250 varieties - including varieties that originate here. Their names are displayed on plates, further delighting the eyes.
